Expect your cost to be around 1% of the hull value. In some areas, this can be as low as 0.5% r as high as 3%.

Factors that can change this rate are the age of the boat, your prior experience, how you use the boat, and where you use the boat.


Electronics – These will be covered under your physical damage coverage on your policy. The value of your electronics will be included in your hull value.

Fishing Gear – We can add coverage for both your personal property and your fishing gear. Limits can be available up to $25,000.


Absolutely. Most tournaments require you carry a minimum amount of liability insurance. If you plan to use your boat in fishing tournaments, be sure to let us know so we can secure you the appropriate coverage.
For insurance purposes, you are considered a pro angler if you make more than 50% of your annual income from fishing tournaments.
